VIRTUAL PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTER
The County of Morris, in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority and the New Jersey Department of Transportation hosted a Public Information Center meeting on Thursday, May 28th to inform local residents, officials, businesses and the general public of the Freight Concept Development Study that aims to identify ways to eliminate several at-grade crossings on the Dover & Rockaway Railroad located between the Township of Rockaway and the Town of Dover.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform the public of the preliminary preferred alternative and to solicit feedback on the recommendation to address the weight restriction. This meeting was conducted in conformance with federal and state regulations. The public was invited and encouraged to comment on the study.
